This Privacy Policy applies to the driveclean.ch website, the online booking system, contact and inquiry forms, as well as communication and service provision by Drive Clean.
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act. To the extent that the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to a specific processing activity, we base such processing in particular on the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests, or your consent.
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Processing includes, in particular, the collection, storage, use, transmission, modification, and deletion of such data.
Depending on the contact and the service used, we process in particular master and contact data such as name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address; vehicle and booking data such as vehicle type, license plate if provided, requested service, appointment, price, notes, and booking status; communication data from e-mails, telephone calls, messages, and forms; image files that you voluntarily upload; contract, billing, and payment information; technical data such as IP address, browser, device, operating system, access time, and pages visited; as well as consent and cookie settings.
We process personal data in particular to answer inquiries, conduct consultations, book and manage appointments, prepare and perform services, inform clients, process payments and invoices, coordinate insurance and partner cases upon request, operate the website securely and user-friendly, evaluate reach and usage, measure marketing measures, comply with legal obligations, and assert or defend legal claims.
When visiting our website, the web server and hosting provider may automatically collect technical data, in particular the IP address, date and time of access, page or file accessed, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser, operating system, and status messages. This data is required to provide the website, detect attacks and errors, and ensure technical security.
The hosting provider processes this data on our behalf. The exact retention period of the server logs depends on the technical configuration and security requirements; they are generally only stored for as long as necessary for operation, security, and error analysis.
If you use a contact or inquiry form, we will process the information you enter to handle your request and for any follow-up questions. Depending on the form, this may include contact details, vehicle data, information regarding damage or contamination, requested services, insurance information, and voluntarily uploaded photos.
Please upload only images and information that are necessary for the request and that you are authorized to submit. Form data may be sent to us by email and additionally stored in the website database. Technical spam protection may be used; the specific service used is identified in the cookie banner or in this privacy policy.
For appointment booking, we use LatePoint within our WordPress website. In doing so, we process in particular names, telephone numbers, email addresses, vehicle and service details, selected appointment times, prices, booking statuses, notes, and the communication data required for confirmations and reminders.
The booking data is stored in our website's database and used by us for appointment management and service provision. Email confirmations or reminders may be sent via our email service. Currently, no online payments are offered via LatePoint. If payment service providers, calendar services, or other integrations are activated later, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly prior to activation.
Payments from individual customers are made on-site in cash or by card. For card payments, the respective payment service provider processes the data required for the transaction either on its own behalf or as a contracted service provider. Drive Clean generally does not receive complete card data.
For corporate clients, we can process invoice and consolidated invoice data. Contractual, accounting, and billing documents are retained in accordance with statutory retention periods, typically for a period of ten years.
If you contact us by phone or email, we will process your contact details and the content of the communication to handle your request.
Our website may contain a link or button to WhatsApp. Data will only be transmitted to WhatsApp once you click on it or contact us via WhatsApp. The processing of your data by WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp’s privacy policy. Please do not submit any sensitive information or information that is not necessary for your inquiry via WhatsApp.
Our website uses cookies and similar storage technologies. Technically necessary cookies are used for operation, security, the booking function, language selection, and storing your privacy settings. They may be required for the use of essential website functions.
Analysis, marketing, and external media functions are, where consent is required, activated only after you make a selection in the cookie banner. You can change your selection at any time for the future using the privacy or cookie settings provided on the website. Processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by this.
Provided you have given your consent and the corresponding services are activated, we may use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Google Ads or conversion tracking. This allows us to understand how the website is used, make technical and content improvements, and measure whether advertisements lead to inquiries or bookings.
In this context, online identifiers, cookie data, IP addresses, device and browser information, accessed pages, interactions, approximate location data, and details regarding a triggered request or booking may be processed in particular. We do not transmit any content from free-text fields or uploaded photos for advertising purposes.
Google services are offered within Europe in particular by Google Ireland Limited; data may also be processed by Google LLC and other companies in other countries, specifically the USA. Where necessary, such transfers are based on recognized data protection mechanisms such as adequacy decisions, certifications, or standard data protection clauses.
Our website can integrate Google Maps to display the location as well as Google Reviews to show customer feedback. With direct integration, technical data such as IP address, browser information, and the page visited may be transmitted to Google or to the provider of the review widget used. Where necessary, such content is only loaded after you have given your consent.
Videos are provided directly via our website whenever possible. If an external video service is used, data may be transmitted to its provider when loading or playing; in this case, the service is indicated in the consent management and, if necessary, only activated after your selection.
Our website may contain links to our profiles on Instagram, TikTok, and potentially Facebook. In the case of a simple link, no data is generally transmitted to the respective network simply by visiting our website. Only when you click the link do you leave our website; thereafter, the privacy policy of the respective platform operator applies.
If posts or other social media content are embedded directly, data may be transmitted to the respective provider as soon as the page loads. Such embeds are only activated after your consent, where required.
The website is powered by WordPress, Elementor, and TranslatePress. These components are used for creating, displaying, and multilingually delivering the website. Insofar as the language versions are stored locally on our website, the mere selection of a language does not involve any automatic translation or any additional transmission of the page content to a translation service.
Additional technical service providers may be used for maintenance, data backup, security, email delivery, form processing, image optimization, and error analysis. They only receive access to personal data to the extent necessary for their tasks and are obligated to process it confidentially.
If you contact us regarding body, paint, or glass damage, we may process the data required for consultation, estimates, repair, and insurance processing. With your consent or as necessary to execute the order, we may transmit information and photos to selected partner workshops, experts, insurance companies, or other involved parties.
Please ensure that you are authorized to submit information about other persons, policyholders, vehicle owners, or parties involved in the accident.
Personal data may be disclosed to contracted service providers and other recipients to the extent necessary. These include, in particular, hosting and IT providers, website and maintenance service providers, email and communication providers, booking and form systems, payment service providers, analysis and advertising services subject to your consent, map, review, and media services, partner companies for bodywork, paint, or glass repair, insurance companies, trust and legal advisors, as well as authorities if there is a legal obligation.
We do not sell personal data.
Individual service providers may process personal data outside of Switzerland. If a recipient is located in a country without an officially recognized adequate level of data protection, we ensure protection through appropriate safeguards where necessary, in particular by means of recognized standard data protection clauses, or base the transfer on a statutory exception. For providers with a recognized certification or an applicable adequacy mechanism, the transfer may also be based thereon.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose, consent exists, legitimate interests apply, or statutory retention obligations require it.
We generally delete or anonymize inquiries without a subsequent contract as soon as they are no longer required for processing and appropriate follow-up. Booking, contract, billing, and business records are generally retained for ten years. Technical logs, cookie settings, and analytical data are stored for a shorter period or for the duration specified by the provider, depending on their function and the configuration of the respective service. Data may still be contained in backup copies until they are routinely overwritten.
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure. These include, in particular, encrypted data transmission, access restrictions, updates, data backups, and the task-related assignment of access rights. Nevertheless, completely risk-free data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed.
Provided the legal requirements are met, you can in particular request information about the personal data processed by us, have incorrect data corrected, request the deletion or release of certain data, object to processing, or revoke consent granted with effect for the future. Rights may be restricted due to legal obligations or overriding interests.
To exercise your rights, please contact info@driveclean.ch. To ensure that we do not disclose data to unauthorized persons, we may require appropriate proof of identity. You also have the option of contacting the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). To the extent that the DSGVO applies, you may have additional rights and the right to file a complaint with a competent European supervisory authority.
We generally do not make exclusively automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you. Should we use such procedures in the future, we will inform you in accordance with legal requirements.
We may amend this privacy policy if our data processing, the services used, or the legal situation changes. The version published on driveclean.ch shall apply in each case. The date stated at the beginning of the policy indicates the status of the last update.
